want to join us?

This is for anyone from Eicher Emmanuel Mennonite Church or anyone who simply wants to read the same daily Bible reading and share comments about God's word.  Our plan is to read the Bible through during 2013 and bless each other with comments about what we have read.  Each participant is encouraged to post their comments, that is to be the blessing of this process.  Possibilities for comments could include: a blessing received, a challenge to follow God closer, a question about the daily text, why don't people do what these verses say we should do, or whatever comment you may wish.  You may disagree with what the Bible says.

You may participate at whatever level you wish.  But the purpose of this blog is to encourage as many people as possible to grow in Bible reading and in Bible understanding.  I will post a blog each day with the daily readings for each day for a week from the current date.  I will also post my comments about the reading for that day.

Your posts may comment on the Bible passage or what others have posted about the passage.  The purpose, again, of this blog is to encourage Bible reading and Bible understanding.  The purpose IS NOT to demonstrate any person's great knowledge or writing skill.  Also, the purpose is not to make light of any person or their ideas about the Bible.

You are encouraged to read the entire daily reading.  But if you are unable to do the daily reading you can still read the comments and add your comments. You are welcome join us at any time and you may leave us at any time.  You are welcome to rejoin after a time of absence.

(I am new at blogging.  I hope this method of sharing works well for everyone who would like to join us.  Please forgive any ineptitude on my part.  I will do my best.  If you have suggestions for improving this blog please tell me.)

God's blessing to each of you.  May God's word be a rich source of direction and joy for your life.

Tomorrow (Friday, Dec. 28) I will post the readings for the first week of  2013.
